Yeah, my daughter really liked that one. I, of course, love the Dennis Hopper letting Christopher Walken know he's a nigger scene.

This was my first time seeing the Johnny English trilogy. My preferences are 1 > 3 > 2.

Of course lol.

It is certainly iconic.

Well aren't we the Ayn Rand ****nut? If you think you're cooler than every single person working a minimum wage job then that would explain a lot about you. I got an author you'd just love.

I know uncool burger flippers are because I was one. Fast food tends to attract the dregs of society.

And FYI I don't think I'm cooler than every minimum wage worker, I just think I'm cooler than you.

Again. Good ****.

Zhanteimi 12-19-2018 07:49 PM

George C. Scott's A Christmas Carol. Chancellor Gorkon plays a great Bob Cratchet!

MicShazam 12-20-2018 12:06 AM

No Country for Old Men. I've watched it several times before.

Still sooooo ****ing good!

Best Cohen Brothers movie by some distance.

One of relatively few academy awards best picture winners in recent decades that actually deserved it to any degree at all.

Yikes. No. Not even close to the best Cohen Brothers movie.

Oh? So what would it be? Surely not Ladykillers, the one about the dude, or Oh Brother Where Art Thou? I'd be able to hold back an eyeroll if you say Fargo. But my personal second pick would have been Hail, Caesar!

I’m not sure which one is the best because I love a lot of them, but Blood Simple, Raising Arizona, Miller’s Crossing, Barton Fink, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Man Who Wasn’t There, True Grit, and Inside Llewelyn Davis are all better than No Country for Old Men imo. I’d put it on par with Burn After Reading and maybe Intolerable Cruelty, though I might like that little more. The only Coen brothers movies I like less are The Hudsucker Proxy and The Ladykillers. They also have a couple I haven’t seen so I don’t know where they’d fall for me.

Frownland 12-20-2018 05:43 AM

It's their best behind A Serious Man and Fargo.

It's boring, though.

Been on a bit of a Guillermo Del Toro kick as of late, so I decided to check out his directorial debut, 1993's Cronos.

At least he's not Will Ferrell

I've never seen a movie with as much completely irrelevant filler as this, and Under the Skin is one of my favorites ever.

So much hype, so little engagement.

If you're looking for a new Christmas film

https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/...82,268_AL_.jpg

It wasn't bad at all. The ending was a bit off but altogether it was a whip-cracking good film (that last bit makes much more sense if you watch it :) ). Anyways, it has David Bradley in it and I haven't ever seen him in a film I disliked.

Plankton 12-26-2018 02:20 PM

Going to see The Mule tonight. This should be interesting, not only because of the movie, but because of the fact that this will be my first official movie 'date' ever.

MicShazam 12-26-2018 03:59 PM

Good luck. Now behave and treat her right, young man.

The Batlord 12-26-2018 04:02 PM

And make sure she can walk home without help.

MicShazam 12-26-2018 04:06 PM

And don't pull an Elph.

Plankton 12-26-2018 04:31 PM

Thanks for the tips.

And if you take her disc golfing just remember that she probably doesn't care. If so then hit it and quit it.

MicShazam 12-26-2018 04:42 PM

Remind her that it's not the size of the disc, but how you throw it.

The Batlord 12-26-2018 04:51 PM

All discs are the same size. It's the angle of the wedge.

Plankton 12-26-2018 04:57 PM

I can tell you've both done this before. Again. Thanks. So much wisdom between you two. Amazing, really.

The Batlord 12-26-2018 05:04 PM

i'm too done to recognize jokes tbh so it's the angle of the dangle

There's Super Class discs. They're larger in your hands than mine though.
