Yeah, I didn't think it was weird at all. Pretty by-the-numbers and boring if you ask me. The only thing I found weird about it was that Scorsese didn't bother trying to make the island look even remotely like something you would find in Boston Harbor at all.

Slight spoiler for Shutter Island

Really? Another critic agreed with you but they said Scorses delivered it with flair, I disagree I thought it was different. I think it was the twist in the film that got me. I really liked it, how did you find it? I liked the reoccurring dreams, it was a bit of a mindfuck at times.

I thought the Island was good, really liked the setting. No complaints about that. :D

A disappointment from one of my favourite directors Ken Loach. Uneven in tone and despite the usual superb performances that you always get from his films I was expecting a bittersweet tale judging by the way it is promoted and the near ending was farcical. Man U fans will love it obviously.

I just found it extremely predictable and that made its slow pace really hard to take.

It looked cool but the problem was it didn't look like Boston Harbor at all. I'm sure that wouldn't be issue for someone not familiar with the area but for someone who is, like me, it was really distracting.

Saw this in the $5 bin at the grocery and almost got it...would you say it's worth the 5 bucks?

Ok...so this is the last movie I watched. Yes, all the way through.

Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad

Why? Because my husband made me. Besides hot girls and this funny fight scene at the end that was a blatant Dragonball Z rip off, it was just terrible.

The zombie make up was alright too.

Despite the twist? I thought it was a bit of a mindfuck. Didn't know if it was a double bluff, I thought the slow pace just built up the tension of the movie.

Yeah, I remember a television programme, The Royal Family, they were going on a caravan trip to somewhere in North Wales, and I knew the town very well where they were staying and I just knew it wasn't the real place. And it was such a minor detail that they could get right. And when it's film, it's more intensified. Every detail has to be thought out.

I didn't even know if the island was based on a real island to be honest, so i just thought oh right, cool island.

Saw Green Zone, really intense/compelling war movie with a very obvious agenda.

It's all over the place but I really enjoyed the film. I would definitely watch again.

^^^

I absolutely hated Charlotte Gainsbourg in that movie. Sullen and melancholy but without any charm to back it up :(
