Crash is also kinda underrated, IMO. But I guess the NC-17 rating kept it from being promoted or widely distributed.

^ I never felt it was a horror film. It's surreal and existentialist.
Well it's kind of an autobiography. Still is a must, of course.

i agree the French and British have it goin on, they aren't scared to go to far with the gore either. if you like inside and martyr try Eden lake and Antichrist. Eden lake was disturbing because of who was doing the torturing, Antichrist on the other hand had some imaged that i would rather of not seen. It really made me cringe, but was a good movie otherwise.

I have antichrist and I've been wanting to watch it except a friend of mine said it was a bit boring because it's all dialogue between these two people .. and that the interaction between these two alone can't carry the movie in such a way that it's entertaining from start to end. He didn't say it was terrible, but I got the impression it was nothing to get excited about.

But don't worry, all of these movies will get godawful American remakes eventually. Which reminds me, Let the Right One In is getting remade, it will be directed by the Cloverfield guy and star that kid from The Road. |
