Haven't seen it in about a decade. Still holds up nicely. Definitely one of my favorite Auzzy films ever and will probably forever remain the highlight of the careers of Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths.

Boring, predictable, forgettable. Also, the long shots of the island look distractingly unlike Boston Harbor, where the movie is supposed to be set.

Sorry but it's true. I had high hopes for the movie too. :(

The critics aren't overly thrilled with it so I was worried, but I thought the people may still like it, that's yet to be seen at the moment, I might go and see it next week, worth a cinema ticket?

For me, no. But I don't know your tastes so maybe in your case it would be worth it. The friend I went to see it with actually enjoyed it.

Good acting, well written script. The basics for me..

I went to see a chick flick for someone's birthday once, it was awful but I quite like going to the cinema, so I reckon it'd be worth a watch since I do enjoy going cinemas :D

Even if it will be a let down..

^ Best film I've seen in ages, and probably my new joint-favourite vampire movie (the other being, of course, From Dusk 'til Dawn), which is weird as the overall concept is, on paper, actually pretty stupid. Goes to show what heights good direction, writing and performances (Malkovich and Dafoe are fantastic in this) can take a film to.

This weekend I watched Der Tunnel, a German movie about a group of people building a tunnel from West to East Berlin to smuggle people out. I liked it.

Well it's probably worth it for you then. But I will warn you I thought the script was the worst thing about the movie.
