This really upsets me. I knew about the West Memphis 3 from a the Black Flag tribute album for them I got many years ago. It hurts me to see them wasting their lives away in prison.

Last night I watched these:

Surrogates
This was enjoyable and I really like the concept, I just think it could have been made a little better.

Yes Man
I used to really dislike Jim Carrey, and it's not that I love him now by any means, but I don't mind him as long as he's not overdoing it like he did in so many other movies. Ok now that that's out of the way, I really liked this. Probably because I can identify with it. My life is boring, I do the same things every day, I avoid calls, I say "maybe" or "no" to a lot of things, I don't live life to the fullest. So I found this movie inspirational, as well as very funny. It's part romantic comedy as well, and I admit I'm a sucker for those.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

^ I hate a good 90% of football films I watch, but this is definitely one of the better ones. True, the ending is predictable and far too abrupt, but otherwise you're looking at a very thought-provoking and convincingly emotional, refreshingly down-to-earth work of sports fiction.

Groundhog Day is a classic .. Definetly a highlight from Bill Murray's career.

I feel much the same. I'm not a big fan of Jim Carrey, but I quite liked Yes Man and like you, I found it strangely inspirational. Not spectacular, but the kind of movie most people should like I think!

Rickenbacker, Crazy Hearts looks awesome! On top of everything else, I quite like Jeff Bridges so I'm gonna keep an eye out for that one.

Funny, I watched this yesterday too! I thought it was enjoyable but nothing real special. The fact that it was shot in my home city was pretty cool though.

Man that new Bruce Willis movie with Tracy Morgan looks really terrible. Yet another f*cking buddy cop movie.

You'd think they would come up with something a little more original than "white straight man meets whacky black comic foil" at this point.

Well for a while they were doing the "Asian straight man meets cracked out comic foil" if that counts for varietion in the film industry.

This movie was just outstanding. The acting was great; seamless and instantly engulfing. The action was like downing three red bulls amusement park ride after a shot of adrenaline. The effects? A lucid dream; brilliant tropical hues flooding every inch of the screen. Must see.
