Cult film. Never been that much cheered up by a picture.
A lot of things I've watched that made references of this movie, one that jumps to mind, was an episode of The Drew Carry show, where the guys decide to strip. At the end of the episode, there's an appearance of Mark Addy that felt very awkward and out of place. I used to know him from the sitcom "still standing", so it felt weird seeing him in the Drew Carry show crowd... now everything makes sense, I can see at last.

It was extremely boring. I'm surprised we didn't leave before the end...

I liked it too. I'll admit it's probably not a film I'll ever watch again - but for a bit of space drama/mystery to entertain you for an evening, it's brilliant.

Since it was mentioned up there, I also enjoyed Coraline.

Ha! I knew you would like it! Simon Pegg wasn't the best Scotty all around (including the accent). But HELLO Karl Urban...best Dr. McCoy ever.

That film is truly a must. Amélie does shadow Jeunet's other works, though they are of the same level.

City of Lost Children is good, I think. I really love the world the movie creates, the setting where everything takes place. The rest of the film, the story, the characters and so on are not quite as brilliant, but it still makes for a good movie.

It's the sort of thing I would love to see more of done even better.

I guess that's why I loved Pan's Labyrinth. It felt like City of Lost children's universe with an Amélie upgrade on the characters.
The comparison might be out of place, but that is what I kept feeling, first time I watched the film.
