Bought it yesterday and watched it tonight. Hopelessly convoluted and contrived. However there was a lot to admire. Some of the cinematography was beautiful to look at. Kristin Scott Thomas was excellent in a major French speaking role and some of the music tracks were stellar (Jeff Buckley-Lilac Wine). Still a little dissapointed though.

i think that Cloverfield is going to be a movie that i am gonna be the least impressed with. just as i was the least impressed with Epic Movie. its gonna be one of those movies where i was i had stayed home and not seen it.

The first 40 minutes are absolutely stunning. You have to see it just for that...

I plan on seeing it, even though i've been told it's going to make me cry...
Edit: last few movies i've seen where La strada Amarcord I Vitelloni ^who can tell me what they all have in common?
