I had already watched its remake Wicker Park last year, so not much change, which is bad for the remake. Loved the acting, dialog and ending in that one more ... well, all just minor changes. It's better to just watch that one and skip its remake, it ruined it for me (specially that Josh Hartnett is too annoying - and you do have Monica Belucci in the original).

Neon Genesis Evangelion-The End of Evangelion
well for the past 3 or 4 days i've been watching the series on youtube and somewhere in the comments i read how the movie is sort of an alternate ending as opposed to the last two series episodes that might have been too confusing and alienating. in short, i loved every minute of it, especially the part where Eva Unit 01 joined with Lilith/Ayanami and the whole world just lit up, so to say. alot of what they talked about near the end is still stuck with me and tbh it's really making me contemplate my life. there are some more than questionable and outright wtf moments (especially the first scene of the movie, haha), but i wouldn't expect less from the show anyway. the ending is pretty much on the poster, though, so that might be a bit of letdown for some people. and the ending itself is pretty open ended and frankly a little mean, to which i prefer the series ending, but the process up to it in the movie was ALOT better executed. but yeah, if you watched the whole series but not the movie, go see it. if you've never seen the series, watch it first, then the movie, cause without it you'd be confused as hell.

The extended edition. Nearly 3...hours...long...Took me three tries but I finally finished it. Extremely boring, pretentious twaddle.

After that one and Alexander, I don't wanna watch another Colin Farrel movie.
