As for the last film I saw... ^ Watched this for what must have been about the 20th time last night over a beer or two, and it still hasn't lost any of its appeal. Plus Richard E Grant's monologue at the end is one of the powerful scenes I've ever watched. |

Bloody magnificent film, like you I must have seen it about 20 times. Chock full of classic lines but still honest enough to be believable and considering Richard E. Grant doesn't drink is testament to his acting here. That scene where he drinks lighter fluid? The director filled it with vinegar beforehand instead of water to get the right reaction from Grant.

Really good movie, can easily be a classic. Maybe a bit too over-charged, between the over use of soundtrack and over-dramatic moments, tho comedy was present very subtly. I loved it, despite the many flaws.
Plus, very good medieval OST.

You are the only other person I know who has mentioned this movie. It has huge flaws but the concept is great. I love this movie.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - *** For some reason this one just dosen't get old for me, it's so over the top silly but it still makes me laugh and as far as Christmas movies go this is still one of my personal favorites. Randy Quaid's performance is even funnier now fully knowing that is exactly what he's like in real life. Ghostbusters 2 - ** It's ok, but it just seemed to be going through the motions. Murray and Moranis provided the only real laugh out loud moments. It's still a decent timewaster for Ghostbusters fans but it's certainly nowhere near as funny or imaginative as the original. I think this is the first time I've seen it all the way through (can't imagine sitting through its EPIC 4 hours as a young'n). What to say. A classic of classics.
