Sadly, I think the remake is giving this fine film a bad rep. Either way, one of my favourites. Thanks for reminding me, gonna have to show it to some friends one of these days

Vince Vaughn Ron Livingston Alex Désert Heather Graham Awsome cast, great movie, definitely check it out if you want a good time. Trent: So, what'd you think of that Dorothy girl? Mike: The whole Judy Garland thing kinda turned me on. Does that make me some kind of ***? Trent: No, baby, you're money.

A Brit Horror flick that has gotten rave reviews recently got me all worked up and I finally managed to get hold of it today. Damn I am so angry. The premise of a soon to be wed couple spending an idyllic weekend in the country that is shattered by the locals through violence had immense potential regarding morality and a well written, concise take on society's lawlessness. Unfortunately it was reduced to a class war where the working class are foul, uncouth murdering scum and middle class, law-abiding citizens are the last bastions of civility. Such a shame as the direction and tension is very well realised but it came across as a thinly veiled attempt to pigeon hole sections of society that it made me damn angry. No wonder the Daily Mail gave it 5 out of 5. That should have been pointer enough really. I'm glad I only spent £3 on it. A very big missed opportunity.
