Probably just got overplayed for you, the way every single seasonal movie does. I honestly wouldn't watch Elf, Christmas Story, Home Alone, Santa Clause, or any of those ****ing claymation bull****s unless I was saving myself from something really boring, like baseball, but I can still recognize and appreciate what makes all of them classics.

I hate the music. I can always dig the claymation though. Story is w/e.

Tbh though, it sounds like you've never dated a girl who was obsessed with that movie. I never need to see it again. Ever.

I think that the broadway style and voices are obnoxious as hell. The Halloween part of the film does have better music, but I still find it grating.

I Love "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and Now You Know My Whole Personality

are you unfamiliar with the KLF

Exo 12-28-2016 07:33 PM

Yes.

^The KLF

what he does not mention is that The KLF are quite possibly the only Dischordians to ever break into pop culture and that they based their philosophy off of Robert Anton Wilson's amazing life guide (book) The Illuminatus! Trilogy...which in my opinion is basically Atlas Shrugged for people who can actually think for their fucking selves...and it has humans having sex with apples.

so obviously you should read it :)

what is interesting about The KLF is they quit music on live TV at an Awards show celebrating them....destroyed all of the masters of their entire back catalogue and then burned all of the money they made from music

and on subject i saw Rouge One again

I'm almost through the Marvel movies. I don't think anyone could possibly have seen them in a worse configuration than I have:

Half of Iron Man I
Half of Iron Man III
Avengers II
Guardians of the Galaxy
Half of Avengers I
Half of Captain America I
The half of the first Avengers that I missed the first time
Captain America II
Captain America Is Mad at RDJ
Paul Rudd Movie

What's missing?

Is there a straight, equally offensive, equivalent to '***got', so that we can call Tristan that?

kibbeh 12-31-2016 09:53 AM

i know some gay ppl call straights 'breeders' but its pretty stupid and i think calling them fags would probably offend them more

Handsome superheroes is essentially why I started watching this franchise in the first place. There might be something to your theory.

Watched Zootopia this morning and thought it was great. Perfect voice cast for all the characters and holy hell is this the most politically themed Disney film ever. So many 'just under the surface' lessons to be learned and strong overall messages of strive for your goals and treat people equally. Funny too. The howling wolves cracked me the f*ck up. Great film.

Enjoyed it the first time I saw it. It's on Netflix so I may watch it again.

I've been meaning to watch it. I went through my blu rays and set it aside to watch and just ended up watching Sully instead later on.

An enjoyable modern western with strong feminist overtones. It does a good job of highlighting the harshness and struggles that women had to go through on the western frontier. However at times it doesn't make for easy viewing.

Chula Vista 12-31-2016 02:25 PM

American Beauty.

Always cool going back to a classic after a bunch of years to see if it holds up.

Such a beautiful, original, and perfect movie. A benchmark in movie making.
