![]() ![]() It's been a few years since I have seen this and I needed to watch something intense. A tale of domestic violence, cultural identity and social problems that is as difficult to watch as it is rewarding. A side of New Zealand that's not in the brochures.

![]() ![]() Just saw this for the first time. Blended some hilarious moments with some truly disturbing ones really well. Definitely one of my favorite Tim Burton movies (that I have seen). I would recommend it to anyone who likes their humor with a little twist |

^ That movie ****ed up my life. I saw it when I was 6 or 7 and I've had an intense fear of alien's ever since. I stopped eating Mars Bars after seeing it and now whenever I get scared I reflexively tuck my thumbs into the palms of my hands to keep them safe from being bitten off.

![]() It's weird, I've just been seeing a shitload of Tim Burton/Jack Nicholson movies. In the past month I think I've seen: The Shining (Nicholson) Batman (both) Edward Scissorhands (Burton) Chinatown (Nicholson) Mars Attacks (both) |

![]() ![]() Excellent stop motion animation from down under. Great design and a bittersweet and funny story. I'd also recommend his previous, short film, Harvey Krumpet. ![]() Interesting and as charming as most Woody Allen films but a little too chaotic. I don't respond well to high concept films. Loved the ending though, that took it up a notch. ![]() Interesting story based on Italian folklore but unfortunately a very bland experience. I'll blame it on the cardboard characters and the lack of a strong, magnetic character which elevated their previous two features, Night of the shooting stars and Kaos to some of my all time favorites. I'll give San Michele aveva un gallo a try before I stop ruining their rep with me.
