We had one of those here as well. I am Christophe the nonexistent hedgehog.

Eeewww. I'm gonna be sick.

JGuy Grungeman 06-17-2016 09:42 AM

I told you Sonic fanart was usually disgusting.

Actually, there was a game on Gamespot, "What Horrible Sonic OC are You?" You take your first namke, google that and "the hedgehog," and the first deviantart result in Google Images is you.

Unfortunately Sonic already has an uncle named Chuck in the comics, so I don't get any OC fanart when I Google "charles the hedgehog".

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 06-17-2016 10:17 AM

Great, I'm a female hedgehog.

Despite what I said, the comics freakin' rock. They start out horrible for 20 or so issues, but by 50 it got really cool, and by 125 it was awesome. I'm past the 200's.

I used to read those way back in the day, when the series was just starting, and the tone shift was gradual but kinda crazy. I always hated that ****ty Sonic X anime, cause I remembered how relatively mature the comics were, and now I'm having this sub-Yu-Gi-Oh drivel shoved down my throat? Kill yourselves.

Well, I rest my case.

innerspaceboy 06-18-2016 08:11 PM

Slacker (1991) for the very first time. Linklater had me at Oblique Strategies.

Probably my least favorite Linklater movie but still interesting.

The Babadook. I'm sorry, but I don't get the hype? Maybe I'm so tuned doen to horror but I found myself laughing more than being terrified (which didn't happen).

I need to see that even more now. Horror movies that make me laugh are so enjoyable. Their intent might be to scare/shock/terrify but if I laughed then I will enjoy it. I feel like the stylistic choices they made for that movie is what made it seem much more tame than it could be.

Saw Now You See Me 2 and it greatly exceeded my expectations. I wasn't holding out hope because I was thinking it would fall victim to sequel curse and be awful but they stroke gold again.

I'm just really bummed that Isla wasn't brought back.

But just imagine if they use animatronic suits like in Howard the Duck? It could be genius.

JGuy Grungeman 06-19-2016 11:29 AM

Exactly.

Wait, three hours? Of him? As in he's going to be on a big screen for three hours dancing all the time?

bob. 06-19-2016 11:30 AM

^this could make LSD fun again

I just watched Turbo Kid....and loved it.....super bloody throw back to stupid 80s action films

i'm about to relax and watch The Editor :)

JGuy Grungeman 06-19-2016 11:32 AM

Ever see Kung Fury?

I just felt like it was sorta clichéd, and it didn't leave much of an inpression on me. The kid was probably the worst part of the movie, with him just running his mouth constantly and reminding me why I'm not having kids. Due to that I felt more hate for them than understanding, and a part of me wished the Babadook killed both of them. Idk maybe I'm just sadistic.

No. Sometimes there'll be Tails.

I bet they'll make a plot point out of chili dogs as well?

Fuck you, the kid was actually great for a child actor, you were supposed to hate him. He's a dork, his mom is going crazy, BOOM! Babadook.

Fellow fan! Feast upon chili dogs packed with onions and cheese with me!

bob. 06-19-2016 04:53 PM

the editor was better....such a great homage to Italian horror films of the 70s and 80s

innerspaceboy 06-19-2016 08:39 PM

SubUrbia (1996)

Going through Linklater films I haven't seen. He consistently creates engaging stories about the relationships between otherwise mundane and common characters.

Still just amounts to an okay movie.

Wouldn't say... fan. I watched the TV series once with my 7 year old cousin. Needless to say, he enjoyed it a lot more than I.

Kill yourself. The Saturday morning cartoon was excellent from what I remember (the weekday cartoon was **** though). I actually kinda want to go back and watch it. Nostalgia Critic actually reviewed it and gave it pretty high marks.

Only real Sonic fans bother to remember than chili dogs are his favorite food. Probably childish of me to remember it, but hey. Having a Sega Genesi9s at age 9 has an effect on a guy's future.

The show's pretty good. It's better in the Japanese dub. Hearing Japanese Sonic say in engrish "****!" was downright funny.

The American Saturday morning cartoon was far superior though. It was actually kinda dark, and there wasn't an annoying brat to ruin every singly episode. And Sally > Amy

JGuy Grungeman 06-20-2016 10:04 AM

I never sat down and saw a whole episode. I saw bits of it, but I greatly prefer the comic. You want dark, start reading. The first 20 are cheap puns and horrible pop culture references. Don't get me started on Wolvurkel.

After the first 20 or so, the show starts getting a legit plot. It gets a little dark around 40, and by 50 it gets great and there's more plot twists. By 125, the comic is nothing short of amazing (you're gonna want to read the spin-offs along side them). It stays awesome through the remainder of the comic.

That's from my favorite Nic Cage film, Lord of War.

I just re-watched all the Mad Max movies except Thunderdome. Love them! I still haven't seen Thunderdome. It's suppose to be the worst one. Anyway, I hope they're making another Mad Max movie. Tom Hardy was awesome in Fury Road.

I do remember the Saturday morning one and thought it was the ****. I'm of course referring to the 1993 series...

"I'm waaaiting!"

Jesus christ.

Yeah I don't think anyone over the age of 8 gives a **** about Sonic X.
