Village of the Damned was so horrible, I couldn't believe Carpenter actually directed that. |

In the Mouth of Madness looks and sounds quite exciting, though. A horror writer's fiction coming true - or is it all just in his mind? Or something like that. I'm not actually too worried about the quality of the film when it comes to acting, plot holes etc. as long as the movie is entertaining. This one looks like it might be, although as you point out there are reasons to be sceptical.
