^^ I finally watched Mind Game and it was brilliant. I'll probably check this out as well.

I think the last movie I watched was Down By Law, but I didn't finish it. Right before that I tried to watch Timecode, which has four shots on the screen simultaneously (24 style) at all times and all four are continuous shots. It boosts the audio of whichever is most important. It wasn't too hard to follow, surprisingly, but my friends weren't really putting up with it so we had to turn it off. What I saw was decent, however.

This is a spoof/homage. How the hell can you take a film seriously that opens with Quiet Riots BANG YOUR HEAD, headbanging to ACHY BREAKY HEART and getting a kick out of CPR? Even the beginning of the film is completely self referential. It's a black comedy of the highest order and not an action film per se.

So I am now a homophobic hillbilly because I appreciate the film for what it is? What's wrong with dumb stupid films? The sheer amount of films that emotionally drain me, means I need a complete switch off film wise.

Films are divided into two categories-Steaks and Hamburgers. I always nearly prefer a steak. It looks good, takes time to cook and digest, makes me feel emotionally content and is expensive. However, I sometimes need a quick hunger fix. Something frivolous and empty but it will still fill a gap until better quality ingredients come along. This is how I approach my film viewing.

Excellent.

One of the most original films I've seen this year, a modern interpretation/homage to silent films. Beautifully shot. Just brilliant.

PARADISE LOST.

A group of nubile/dumb kids go on a trip to brazil, get abducted and have nasty things happen to them. Bag of bollocks.

Yah, I saw that last night...too similar to 28 days later...which is better...obviously.

I so want this film to be good. The novel is brilliant but I have heard that it does'nt come close. I may give it a chance sometime.

me too, but like adidass said, this is like 28 days later...just stupider.

What are the chances of will smith being a army general AND a medical doctor...

the dog was the best actor in the film :>

I've read that of all the film versions (apparently there are more than one), this one strays from the novel the most....:\
