Watching Rocky III and **** me, enjoying the **** out of it.

Watched Ex Machina for the second time yesterday with Lin. So original and so freaking good on all levels.

This is a pretty funny film but the visuals are what really stole the show. I imagine that it'll get a lot better when I rewatch it while being a little more sober.

RoxyRollah 01-08-2016 07:22 AM

It was a film about bear murder....

I read you watched the revanant...ive confused myself again.

Frownland 01-08-2016 07:27 AM

The Revanent was pretty funny too though.

I'd gladly watch DiCaprio throatfuck a baby seal to death it if was filmed that amazingly.

StuartJ 01-08-2016 08:45 AM

Last watched "Housefull" tonight. Very enjoy and laughing. Enjoyed a lot together.

DeadChannel 01-08-2016 10:57 AM

Just watched Grizzly Man and Dog Day Afternoon.

Treadwell was an interesting guy, but he wasn't very smart. Anyone who lives around bears knows that it can be deadly to habituate them to humans. He did more harm than good, probably, and died because of his actions. Still sad, but not unsurprising. Herzog did a good job with the film, though. I thought it captured the character rather well, and presented all of the sides of him. Some of the interviews with people felt a bit rehearsed, but whatever.

In Dog Day Afternoon, Sidney Lumet made another great ****ing movie. Network is brilliant, obviously, but this is almost as good. It's tense and gritty, but I actually found some parts rather humorous in a dark way. It's got some interesting political ideas as well. Good movie.

I though John Cazale was unintentionally hilarious in that.

Dude only acted in 5 movies and every single one of them was nominated for a best picture Oscar.

DeadChannel 01-08-2016 11:16 PM

Yeah, I know. Dude was great in The Deer Hunter. Too bad he died so young.

He knew he was dying during the filming of that, but kept going.

I saw Creed. It was a pretty good movie. I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Saw the Revenant last night, or as the annoying manager kept calling it "the Reverent" I sort of dropped of the DiCaprio hype train for best actor at the oscars. He was good but not great. I think he has done better roles. Tom Hardy was awesome though. Overall I would probably give it an 8 due to its atmosphere and sheer brutality. It was constructed and presented very well.

StuartJ 01-12-2016 08:57 AM

Watching right now "Prem Korechi Bes Korechi" this is new Indian movie. Interesting.

Mr. Charlie 01-14-2016 04:02 PM

Black Death

Watched it over Christmas. Excellent film. Very gritty. Very human and thought provoking. A movie that attempts, successfully I feel, to say something about the human condition.

innerspaceboy 01-15-2016 10:09 AM

Presently watching Robert Reich's Inequality for All.

The Batlord 01-15-2016 11:44 AM

After watching that trailer, I want to watch that movie for (mostly) reasons that have nothing to do with being a pedo like Chula.

I feel like I can only know if your dad is horrifying or awesome upon meeting him.

Chula Vista 01-15-2016 11:54 AM

It's actually an insanely funny and fun flick. And it's got Kirsten, who I've been in love with forever. And Eliza Dushku, who I've........ uhm..... never mind.

The outdoor football/cheer scenes were filmed right up the street from me. My kid cheered on that same field.

You have to see that movie at least once in life. Its got it all including jazz fingers. Dude hes awesome and his sole reason for loving that movie is Eliza Dushku.

Want to say it was Exo and one other person that recommended this documentary and it was outstanding. Hiro is a no bull**** guy with dedication that borders on insane. I'll be rewatching it again soon.

Amazing flick. Hiro IS insane. And he's successfully passed in on to his son.

It's just a piece of raw fish for cripes sake.

Its a life experience honestly. Its more then a piece of fish, its a respect for the process and the fish. I like how he passes along his life lessons and instills so much pride and respect in his co-workers. To think he started at 12 years old. I also like how he will accept nothing but the best, and won't cut corners to provide only the best product and environment, the guy is genius.

Oh, I get it. But still.........

Some of the reviews have called out him and his staff as being pretentious jerks.

I'm called pretentious quite often and I'm the greatest artist of the 21st century. Just sayin.

If I get down that way i'll give you a shout. I usually make it down to Escondido for Stone and Del Mar for the racetrack. Lots of killer stuff in Diego.

I'm looking forward to Baskets quite a bit, the adverts are great and I love his brand of humour.

Deystorm 01-15-2016 02:02 PM

The last I've watched was "Beverly Hills Ninja".
A fat one want to be a ninja, but fails very hard.

A real recommendation for comedy lovers!

Just completed Robert Reich's wonderful and inspiring documentary, Inequality for All. In addition to its powerful message, it was filled with fantastic animated infographics. (I'm a sucker for infographics.) Better still, Reich was kind enough to share a PDF of them for free on the film's website.

Check them out and watch the film!
