I don't think he's a bad actor per se, I just cannot stand the man. I don't know why. Just one of those things.

Kind-of like Tom Cruise. He's a magnificent actor but I really can't stand him.

Although with Nicolas Cage I've rarely been that impressed with many of his movies. Maybe I need to see some more.

I actually think he's a really good actor. Unfortunately he's gotten into making a ton of cheesy action movies in the past ten or fifteen years that tend to undermine what a good actor he is, but movies like Leaving Las Vegas, Lord of War, Adaptation, Wild At Heart, Moonstruck, and Raising Arizona have such great performances from him that it makes me more than happy to overlook his lower quality stuff.

Yeah. And add Vampire's Kiss to that list.

Two and a Half Men is terrible, terrible television. One or two of my friends like it, and I wouldn't have expected it to be their thing at all and I just don't get it. How it's been on air so long is beyond me.

And I have been watching:

Just out of simple curiosity. I had never actually seen any of Neil Simon's films before. It was alright I guess, but a bit predictable after a while.

I enjoyed it but I have a feeling it's just not the same on the smaller screen.

I hadn't seen it since I was a kid. I still enjoyed it. I still cant help but wonder how he takes a piss though. Carefully, I would assume.

For some reason I thought I might like this. I didn't. I cringed through some of it, and it wasn't funny.

I just finished watching Reality Bites for about the thousandth time in my life.

I don't care if it's cheesy and reeks of 90s lameness, I love it. It pretty much sums up my life like a carbon copy right now. I usually hate it when people assign themselves and their friends to characters in movies but I swear I could match every single character in this film to me and my flatmates.

Definately watch Adaptation, probably the best 'twins' acting ever done by one person. Except maybe Blythe Danner in futureworld, which was only for one scene. Cage is actually an excellent actor, check out Leaving Las Vegas also, as Janszoon dun' said.

As far as Tom Cruise goes, I used to feel the same way. But eventually his incredible talent out shined his douche-factor, now I'm quite the fan. Check out Jerry Maguire and Vanilla Sky, the Cruise/Crowe team are amazing together.

Still dipping back into my DVD collection:

Still a fantastic film and a few dodgy effects apart it will always remain in my top 10. However the DTS mix on this ultimate edition is piss poor.

One of the first crop of DVD's I bought back in 2001 and it's still in the limited silver Metal tin. The extended version is probably a little too superflous but still a great movie and the sound and PQ are outstanding.

Nowhere near as bad as people made out and the bleak ending is truly chilling. The crane ride is a brilliant piece of action. The second disc of extras is very disappointing.

I'm not a big Sc Fi fan but this still blows my socks off. Even if you dislike the hallucinogenic visuals towards the end (which I do), the technical aspects of the film are superb and some sequences still astonish over 40 years later.
