The Hangover is pretty much the drinkers version of Dude Where's My Car if you think about it.

I haven't seen this film for about ten years even though I have had it on DVD for over four years! Rewatched last night and it's scatlogocial approach to morality and how power corrupts is still eminently watchable. The cinematography and use of colour is extraordinary.

I wasn't expecting a lot but it still didn't impress a whole lot. A lot darker than I thought but the pacing is terrible and the characters are barely fleshed out.

It took a few years to get a R2 release and unfortunately it's vanilla. A commentary at the very least would have been interesting.

Second viewing, the last was about a year ago. Enjoyed is the wrong word, but hell it's great to see action back to 80's style OTT blood and guts AND a political edge with the atrocities in Burma as it's backbone.

I actually managed to finish watching it this time, something always happens and I never get to the end. Interesting no doubt but I'm not sure I actually liked it. I'll have to watch it all in one sitting.

The Hangover and Miss March, both decent comedies.

Blow Up is pretentious overrated rubbish. The only good thing about it is the soundtrack.

Yardbirds
Herbie Han****
Lovin' Spoonful etc
