The first time I watched La Vita e Bella was without subtitles (because I speak Italian, although not fluently). Even so, it took my breath away. Such an amazing film... it really touched me in both a sad and beautiful way.

Did you have trouble understanding any of it? Some of those actors seem to speak so quickly!

I had A LOT of trouble understanding a lot of the dialogue the first time I watched it. They do talk extremely fast! (Although so do the Italian side of my family, I should be used to it...) But it's pretty amazing how much you can understand despite this. I think this is one of the reasons why I thought it was so good... despite not understanding 100% of what they were saying the first time around it was still somehow so incredibly touching.

I felt so let down by Rescue Dawn. I was expecting something a lot more emotionally draining considering the talent involved. I should have checked out the original doc Little Dieter Needs To Fly before watching it considering I am a herzog fan.

Possibly the worst movie I've actually sat down to watch seriously. I had been warned about the quality though :\ AND WHAT THE HELL I JUST NOTICED THAT SHE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THE HUGE THUMBS ON THE POSTER. This production was so poor -_- EDIT: fix'd pic

^ i dont see any poster
I just saw the hurt locker. The first hour is great, however it starts falling during the second half. Momentarily the movie switches into a generic, black-hawk-down-ish shoot em up. Fortunately the ending is pretty good. |

Just watched The Orphanage. I watched it thinking that Del Torro directed it but I just realised it was his production company involved in the process not specifically him. Still, great film and not at all your generic horror movie. Everything from the story to the direction was fantastic. Very similar in ways to Pan's Labyrinth, which is why I thought that Del Torro directed.
