After seeing the "Scarface isn't that good" post I just could not read anymore. Really? Ummm....REALLY?

Ok I just saw that somebody mentioned Pump Up The Volume. In My opinion a very entertaining flick. Not the most original project ever but well woth the time.

What's happening to horror nowdays? Is suck becoming an element of fright?
There's a difference between cult horror and just plain crap horror. No matter how many warped visual FX you can toss in, you still need to have some kind of substance. There needs to be one outstanding factor that is NOT centered in FX. Something that keeps you thinking about it long after the movie is over.

The only thing I got out of that movie is that the lead actress is hot. That's pretty much it.

horror nowadays isn't too bad....I mean there alot of horrible ones out there but there are a few gems here and there. The last good horror I went to see at the theater was Drag me to Hell. I think you like psychological horror type movies instead of the hack and slash variety. Have you seen The strangers or that movie with the two brothers dressed in white. I can't remember the name of the movie right now.

I can't even watch Scarface because it's so cheesy.

If you can stomach it I'd recommend Martyrs, but like I said... if you can stomach it.

Anyways in a fit of insomnia last night I watched Ghostbusters.

...cockaroaches.....

But you can't hate that scene when he's smashed in the resturaunt and he makes a scene and says "You all need me, so you can point your finger at me and say, thats the bad guy" Thats a priceless scene.

I don't know how you can think Al Pacino's acting is anything less than completely believable. Cheesy? Lame? I think not.

yeah.. I'm a Scarface fan. :D
