We don't have them in England (anywhere near me) because we're crap. No need to 'anyway' at all!

I feel this wasn't a bad film and was certainly promising but dropped off a bit towards the end.

Yes, I know it's quite astonishing that I only just saw the BWP for the first time... to be frank, I thought it was a snoozefest. I think I have a problem with annoying protagonists and that neurotic cow with an overactive imagination presses all the wrong buttons. Maybe I was just in the wrong mood for the film, but it really didn't pique my interest.

My friends absolutely love this movie and I remember watching it years ago and they were seriously freaked out about it. I also thought it was a snooze fest. I thought the end was a bit freaky, though. Oh and don't even bother with the second one.

Blair Witch Project is one of those love or hate films. I happen to really like it but I can definitely understand not liking it as well. I thought Apocalypto was brilliant personally.

The new Ice Age movie. It was cute, but like the other Ice Age movies they just lack a certain something for me that I can't quite put my finger on. The character Buck (voiced by Simon Pegg) really made the movie for sure and brought the laughs.

I watched Gran Torino last night.
Clint Eastwood's grunts were epic as always.

I think Blair Witch Project might also be one of those movies that you had to see when it first came out to fully enjoy it. I saw it at a midnight screening before it even had it's general theatrical release so I knew basically nothing about the movie going in except that was some kind of disturbing documentary or something. It's not that I thought it was real while I was watching it but that tiny lingering doubt in the back of my mind really helped make it an extremely creepy movie experience for me. I wouldn't be surprised if, now that's it's ten years old and very well known, it's lost a lot of its punch for someone seeing it for the first time.

One a similar note, I just watched this movie for the first time:

Man Bites Dog
I have to confess I was expecting to like it more than I did, but I wonder if it's a similar situation to Blair Witch Project, maybe if I had seen it in 1992 I would've loved it. It's definitely an interesting movie and I'd say it was definitely ahead of its time, just didn't grab me for whatever reason though.

Yeah Right!-By Girl Skateboards

yeah, it's a skate video, but i'm counting it as a film. while the skating itself is great, what i really love is the use of special effects and greescreening in an almost arthouse sort of way.

plus the cameo by Owen Wilson is pretty lulzworthy.
