Now this was a great viewing experience! Very interesting movie that follows a one-of-a-kind violin's journey through the ages of man, all the while intersecting with the lives of a variety of individuals who come in contact with it. Samuel L. Jackson's presence is also a plus.

I finally saw this today:

It was very good. I loved the whole "5 minute vignette" thing about it. My favorite bits were "Quartier de la Madeleine" and "Tuileries," the second one being mostly because Steve Buscemi is amazing. Great film.

that is certainly one big-ass ensemble cast. I will check imdb to see what the proles think at least

@khfreek: Amadeus is the shitnuts, they should show that to schoolkids and force-feed them Frank Zappa to make them appreciate classical music. The ONLY problem with it is F. Murray Abraham's dodgy old man prosthetics. But i'm sure it weren't his fault :P:

A bit of a mess, yes, though I managed to stay on top of the plot the whole time. There were a few things that definetly didn't make much sense, but oh well .. still somewhat entertaining.

The way they defeat the new cenobite antagonist in the end was silly enough to make me slap my forehead.

Through most of it, I was like "this is okay. Interesting, but still okay."
Then the actual production started. I don't think I stopped laughing the entire last half an hour or so of the movie. Loved this way more than I thought I would.

And to satisfy the Star Wars geek in me... (yeah, I know. Shut up man.) I finally saw Fan Boys today. If you like Star Wars at all, check this movie out. It was really good.
