I always though that she used her hamstring as a mock trigger personally.

It's a bit funny, the same conversation about how she fires her gun just came up with some of the people I'm doing this winter ecology course with a few days ago. I'm able to ignore the plothole because I don't think the movie tries to be realistic at all .. Maybe it sticks to it's own realism, but if so, it's one where plotholes like that are allowed.

The last film I saw was Aliens. Once again, it kicked ass. Sigourney Weaver is so good in the role of Ripley and the last scene where she fights the queen must be one of the more memorable moments in popular action film history.

Igby Goes Down and HurlyBurly are two of my favorite "older" movies. I just recently watched.....oh yeah, I haven't watched a movie in like 6 months

Intriguing to say the least. A little lengthy but the film's structure is excellent.

Nothing is flawless. The day I find a film like that I will stop watching I did love the way it dealt with flashbacks and filled in details for us without it spoiling the overall feel. Also the DVD print I have is a matted 4:3 so the picture was elongated which annoyed the crap out of me. I never did see the Hollywood remake-it is supposed to be awful (surprise, surprise).

What's shocking is that it was made by the same guy...

Oh and I have the Criterion edition...

Definitely the most beautifully shot documentary Ive ever seen. The whole time watching I was just amazed by the beauty of Iceland, and of course Sigur Ros music is also amazing.
