Damn What make the original so great is the animatronics. I miss those days

aye and its my favourite. That or Wrath of Khan. Generations was good too. Within the Trek canon you understand, in the grand scheme of things they are all terrible

Ah c'mon. Almost all of the Star Trek films are pretty good, though the first one is just ok and V is pretty damn awful.

Star Trek V was a load of fail.

On a different note, I saw this one a few days ago:

It had it's moments. I just love the music so damn much that I want to watch it again.

hmm. My top three worst Trek films in order of suckiness (it's a word)

1. Nemesis
2. Insurrection (i think thats what it was called)
3. V: Final Frontier

i always wanted them to do a DS9 one... El-P could have done the soundtrack

I have never watched a Star Trek film in my life. I'm hoping it will stay that way too

i was a trek kid and must have spent hundreds of pounds on videos, stacks of them. all gone now still. I'd have trouble naming any of the films that arent impenetrable to non-Trekkies

SF is one of those genres that I can barely get into and it just doesn't do anything for me. I did have a soft spot for Buck rogers in the 25th Century thoughwhen I was a kid. Although that could have been the female sidekick in tight lycra addling my pre pubescent brain lol
