Good, not great. Fast paced, covers a lot. Luke Wilson is good as usual, I wouldn't pay $25 for the dvd again but it's worth a watch.

Scream 4. It was pretty good. Thought that the person who turned out to be the killer was a little awkward though.

If you are wondering why I asked, you sounded like someone of university age when you said you wanted to be a production accountant in the future.

ooh okay. Yeah, it's a work in progress. I'm pretty close to having my associates degree. I just need to go back and finish up one more semester and I'll have it. I will have to transfer to another school as well.

I watched Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkin's last night and it never fails to make me laugh.

If Thor is the best film of 2011 then i will have to miss out on it because Thor as a character always bored me!

This tripped me out hard, I gotta rewatch it. I didn't understand it at all. 7/10 for now.

Never thought I'd say this, but Vince Vaugn was ****ing good in this. Hearing "money" and "baby" gets pretty annoying after awhile though. Still very enjoyable. 8/10

Normally I hate these quirky Indie rom-coms, but this was hilarious. Plus Miranda July was smoking in it. 8.5/10

now that Thor is actually pretty good, it's got me stoked for Captain America and Green Lantern

solid film. not the achievement that Y Tu Mama Tambien was, but Inarritu still does basic human interaction better than most directors. it's quite depressing, but that doesn't bother me. oh, and Bardem should've won the oscar.

Haven't seen it but has anyone seen the movie Trainspotting? Heard something really good about it, just wondering if it's worth the rent.

It's decent. I saw it after I read the book, which probably lowered my opinion quite a bit, but I didn't hate it. Most people like it a lot more.

the book is really good too... I'd say read it.

nah I think he's serious

Trainspotting is so-so, I much preferred Boyle's Shallow Grave, TBH

I think he's probably just commenting on the fact that it's a really well-known movie so it's surprising that you don't know anything about it. It's before your time though, so I could see how you wouldn't be familiar.

I think it's an amazing movie movie by the way. Well worth renting.

Insane Guest 05-03-2011 09:47 PM

Ah I see, I'm suprised to find out it's a well known movie, will be watching it then.

Watched this in history class today, not bad, but it's the typical story of the underdog.

I liked this one. Shows some of the dark sides of drug addiction, kind of a weird movie, but I was entertained, so the job was done.

It was very boring, Unstoppable means can't be stopped!

I LOVE this movie! Kate Hepburn is great in it, and I watched this movie over and over in my childhood - my mom's two favorite actors are Kate Hepburn and Cary Grant, so naturally. :)

But yes, their chemistry is wonderful, and Katharine Hepburn's comedic timing is second to none, in my opinion. Brilliant.

Films I have watched in the last week:

Clerks
Amazing movie, hilarious and the conversation is so accurate. Loved it.
5/5

Mallrats
A fun movie with some enjoyable moments but nothing amazing. The characters however were very likeable, especially Brody.
4/5

Chasing Amy
A good movie with some interesting points and funny moments but the two main characters were douchebags-making it harder to get into.
3.5/5

Dogma
Good movie, interesting characters and an original storyline. Enjoyed it.
4/5

Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back
Lots of fun and they are good characters but it was nothing more than fun. Would be lost on people who hadn't seen the previous movies. I don't like monkeys either.
3/5

Clerks 2
Awesome movie, a lot of interesting messages while still being haha funny and not ruining the original film.
4.5/5

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
Amazing! Good soundtrack, great fight scenes, interesting characters and a lot of funny moments!
4.5/5

One of the most enthralling and disturbing movies I've seen in forever. Plus, that ending was a mind****. 10/10

This was actually a pretty ok film. I did find myself enjoying it in its entirety, the ending was a bit rushed however. So, the storyline sort of wavered towards the end, but all in all pretty good. One word of advice though, don't take your girlfriend to see this shit, Chris Hemsworth will steal her from the fucking screen, I swear, lol.

Brilliant film! A really touching and moving story about a father and son doing their best to survive in a post-apocalyptic America. There's a very tense and mysterious atmosphere at times and the film does really well to capture the bleakness of a post-apocalyptic world. Excellent acting too.

I watched French Films yesterday. Godards Pierrot le Fou and Vardas Le Bonheur. Both were good.

Oh man...this was so much better than I thought it would be. I ended up seeing it in 3D because there weren't any other viewings at the cinema soon enough. It's a pretty good movie on it's own...I wouldn't recommend anyone see it in 3D. It didn't add anything at all. Overall though, based on the acting and story line, and not being familiar with the myth and/or comic book, I'd give this movie 3.5/5 stars.
