Just had a Scream marathon this past weekend, and will watch Scream 4 either this weekend or next. Anybody caught 4 in theaters yet? If so, whaddya think?

Scissorman 04-27-2011 12:38 PM

First I watched Ripper, because I felt like watching a slasher movie.

It wasn't good, but I got what I expected, so it was all right.

Then I watched Ripper 2 just because Erin Karpluk was in it.

Aaaand no. Just no.

Mine would have to be The Good Shepherd, I REALLY enjoyed that film, the acting by Matt Damon was just superb.

Howard the Duck 04-28-2011 12:05 AM

watching Thor this weekend, despite what I've said about the film, cos there's nothing else of note on

Just saw Source Code a couple nights ago. Pretty terrible to be honest.

I wouldn't just take my word for it, I heard alot of people liked it. Decent enough concept but I thought there were some pretty big holes in it. Very cliche acting and dialogue as well.

Howard the Duck 04-28-2011 08:49 PM

oh there's the Donnie Yen's depiction of Guan Yu as well

Guan Yu was one of the heroes in Romance of the Three Kingdoms and a Chinese god/deity as well

so it's that AND Thor

Deity weekend for me

Yeah I agree, especially considering it's the same director as Moon

It's just one of those movies that gets progressively worse as it goes on.

Scarlett O'Hara 04-28-2011 11:10 PM

Gorrilas in the Mist. Absolutely beautiful but sad movie.

Ben Butler 04-29-2011 07:13 AM

I watched two films over the weekend.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 DVD - 7/10, it was ok and Emma Watson looks stunning but it did miss a lot of bits out from the book which is one of the reason why I am always sceptical of book adaption films. Very long duration also. The second one will be better as that is where the real action begins and is the main part.

Fast and Furious 5 - 10/10 - Went to the cinema to see this, can not fault it. Great action with the car/police chase with the safe of money on the back of the car and elements of humour from Tyrese Gibson and Ludracis. Best one yet.

Did the movie talk about her kidnapping that child or did they gloss over that? I've always been curious.

Good, hope you enjoy it. Make sure you stay back at the end and watch the credits rather than rushing off like most people did. There was a clip with a spolier which gives a hint to what might happen in the 6th film.

The Wind that Shakes the Barley. Fascinating film about the formation of the IRA.

Yeah I saw the spoiler because unlike other people I actually sit and watch the credits.

I like to see who the production accountant is on each movie that I see at the theater.

Most people rushed off because they don't like rap music too much but I wanted to see who would win that CGI race and then I discovered that little treat at the end of the race.

I really liked FastFive but I just didn't like the fact that it was a bit too comfortable at parts like the actors were laughing and telling insider jokes. I have seen this happen in three films before.

Rush Hour 3, Ocean's 13 and The Expendables.

Howard the Duck 04-30-2011 10:49 AM

Thor - pretty good. One scene actually made me cry tears of joy. And my fiancee felt touched also. 8/10

The Lost Bladesman - terribly exaggerated and different than history - 4/10

Glad you saw the spoiler. I like to see the production accountant as well. Disagree with the jokes, thought they were funny. It does happen indeed in the two of the films I have seen, Ocean's 13 and The Expendables.

I'm curious....why do you like to see the production accountant?

I want to see if your reason is the same as mines.

I just like seeing all the budget and all the financial activity that goes into making the film.

Same but the reason i like to see the production accountant name is because I'd like to become one in the future.

I feel like in a way by me staying to see the production accountant I'm paying respects to them.

"Twitch Psychological Thriller". Unfortunately, if you watch a movie where you know it's a twitch, then you immediately know the twist. Every time.

I loved it, Audrey was so adorable and Gregory Peck was his usual extremely charming/handsome self.

Probably one of the most frightening things that has plagued man since the dawn of man. The uncertainty of death and what it might bring.

I saw parts of this last night, I was a bit too tired and dozing off so I need to re-watch but I enjoyed the parts I did see.

She's quite the lady. Let me know what you think of it.

I watched this yesterday:

Awkward, yet sort of touching. Though, I can't stand Liv Tyler ... So much that it influenced what I thought of the entire film.

bruce willis is an awesome actor!!!!!!!!!!red if you haven't seen it yet that movie was super awesome.

Hmmm do you mean a human child or gorilla child? If gorilla, she nursed one back to health whose parents had been killed by poachers. She then gave it back to the guy who the baby was sold to in exchange for 3 trappers. Does that sound about right?

Today I watched The Little Mermaid. Best afternoon ever!

I watched Untraceable again last night and I love that movie so much. It reminds me of like a Saw type spin off but a high tech version.

It was alright, started out pretty strong, but like the drug itself in the film there was a lot going on at once. I don't think whoever wrote the script learned how to make a story arc. Kind of funny and sad to see how Robert Deniro gets top billing along with Abbey Cornish and Bradley Cooper when he's in the film for around 10 minutes.

I mean a human child. At one point in her battle against poachers and ranchers she actually kidnapped one of their children. Based on your response, I'm guessing they left that out of the movie.
