There was lots of eye candy. Lots of things blew up. It was entertaining, nothing more, nothing less. That's how I saw the movie.

I loved Tom Cruise's OTT sex noises while he was doing the Death Star trench run the first time.

Now that you mention it, the noises were funny.

The Long Day Closes
Directed by Terence Davies

Uhhhhhhh is thisthe most beautiful British film of all time? I actually think it might be. I can't get it out of my head since I saw it a few days ago. It's astounding how well made and lyrical it is. Transforming.

I recently watched Cube 2 from 2003. It was super cheesy and the effects are dog **** but I would lie if I say it wasn't entertained

After two years of following Red Letter Media's Best of the Worst YouTube channel, I finally sat down today and watched Space Cop - their feature film paying homage to b-grade cinema. It was absolutely fantastic, and now I understand why copies of the DVD trade for hundreds of dollars on eBay.

It's definitely more enjoyable if you've already followed their film critiques to familiarize yourself with their brand of dry humor, but in spite of my fears given the hype it did not disappoint.

Saw the new Hellraiser. Pretty good! They leaned into the mythos, which I like, and they did a good job with it (so many didn't), also expanding it a little. There's a somewhat rehashing of themes, like how Voight is another Channard, but it might be more endearing than annoying.

It's gory, but not quite as gruesome or sadistic in feel or atmosphere as the first two. The new cenobites and designs are kinda cool.

Hope they make a sequel in which we get to see more of the labyrinth.

The two most fun to watch horror movies that aren't horror comedies are Jaws and Dog Soldiers. Everyone loves Jaws but they need to get their heads out of their asses and recognize the greatness of Dog Soldiers.
