I was purging my kids' toys last night. I watched Stallone's Samaritan on Prime. It was entertaining. I didn't get a ton of purging done. Sigh

Bout to watch the first Highlander movie and potentially make moral condemnations of everyone who likes Buffy and Star Trek but ignores the great 90s nerd franchise that deserves love.

Only the first one deserves love. The rest can suck my dick.

Watched Vice, a less-than-complimentary but quite humorous biopic of Dick Cheney. Very enjoyable, but also quite disturbing when you consider the world was only one step away from having him in the Oval Office, should W have choked on his beer.

Even considering the TV show? I grew up loving the Highlander TV show and even if it was cast aside it is absolutely a potential franchise to bring.back. it's just so easy to bring back. You just have to bring back swords.

Like seriously. People act like this or this or that are why white people are into katanas but I was ****ing there to see it happen as a kid. It wasn't anime. It was highlander. And it it ruled.

Oh no. the TV show was the worst. There can only be one? And yet every episode they were stumbling over immortals? One a week? Fuck that. Plus that bastard looked like Karen's scumbag abusive ex-boyfriend, affectionately known as shithead. You can keep it. First film rules though.

This just seems like a pure autism reason to not like a show.

well this one is more along the lines of that VU thing, where it's a documentary that's heavy on spectacle low on information, and honestly better for it

there's thousands of books, features, films, etc. documenting near every second of the icon's life

see this film on a huge Imax screen and treat it like a concert, indeed, much of the film is live concert footage (in absolutely stunning HD, that at times feels almost impossible)

the juxtaposition of flashing pop culture imagery highlights how Bowie was master of taking in the air of every decade and weaving it into something both alien and familiar

Oh for real? That's out already?!! I gotta see that.

Speaking of funny horror movies I finally watched Midsommar and I did not expect it to be funny but it really cracked me up in a good but really messed up way. I liked it a lot
