What was the name of documentary?
On a happier note, I saw Top Gun on Thursday. Very entertaining.

Stating the obvious here but doing something about the availability of weapons would probably help. Europe also has a bunch of crazy, violence prone people. They just luckily don't have easy access to weapons.

OT: I finally saw Madres paralelas (Parallel mothers) by Pedro Almodovar. Not one of his best but still very engaging. First movie of his that I remember that is explicitly political (deals partly with the issue of the civil war dead which in Spain is still a controversial subject).

He's such an atypical case: a rich old guy...

We watched the documentary yesterday and the brother appears somehow even worse than in those interviews.

Apropos of access to weapons, my gf (she's obsessed with this case) says he might've been a weapons dealer or some sort of middle man and that it's a possible explanation how he made his fortune. This isn't mentioned in the documentary but according to her there's a lot else that isn't.

Yes, Penelope is all kinds of awesome although I found her body a little weird in this one. She's tiny and bony yet has some pretty perky tits. The other actress I wasn't totally sold on because I felt she didn't emote too well but then she's playing the part of a listless gen-z-er and I guess she nailed it.

It wasn't meant to be funny but I laughed out loud at the scene where Penelope teaches the girl to peel potatoes when it's clear poor Penelope hasn't peeled a potato in her life...

Also, special mention to all those interiors, wow, would I ever love to have an apartment like the Almodovar ones.

I don't know if the whole story will ever come to light. It seems that with movies like these, we get one side of many. It does seem as though the whole event has been forgotten. For a lot of the media, it's on to the next tragedy. It's awful.

Yeah I mean the other girl is depressed and traumatised, I thought the acting fitted well

Sansho The Bailiff

I took home a sh*t ton of Criterion to watch before we put them out for sale. This was fantastic. One of the more moving films from the 50's you can watch. Beautifully shot and excellent story albeit very sad.
