This one stands out although it doesn't completely avert the typical pitfalls.

Because most of DC's big superheros were created in the Golden Age when they had no real interest in believable or relatable heroes. They just wanted to rip off Superman. Most of Marvel's big superheros came about in the 60s and 70s to be more human. Imagine the Avengers squaring off against the Justice League. The Avengers would get **** stomped aside from Thor and Hulk.

One of the best movies from Marvel which was surprising coming off of the last two Thors. They really brought that character up from lackluster to fan favorite.

There Will Be Blood

Probably my 20th viewing.

Swiss Army Man

Paul Dano double feature! Farting corpse who talks and a lost man in the woods become best friends. Wonderfully bonkers film.

I just watched it on Saturday. If Sanders didn't already have that canned comedic voice he's been using for the last 30 years, it would have had a better impact, but it felt like he was about to roll into a verse of Lunch Lady at any given moment. Still, a great movie and I need to watch it again to see if I can tune the residual effects of his crappy movies and SNL days out of my pea-brain.

Slop slop... slop sloppay johhhhh's...

Burn After Reading

Pretty funny. That look Pitt keeps giving Malkovich in this scene is priceless.

I rewatched La Haine again cause it's relevant to what's going on.

Great movie.
