Very disappointingly cliched and rather predictable story. Especially some of the physical comedy (falling down stairs etc, that hasnt been done before) but i felt somewhat rescued by the scenes Simon Pegg and Dylan Moran do together. Together they are extremely funny.

If i forget about the cliches and the predictability I'd give it 7. If not it has to be lower im afraid.

It's still a laugh, and Simon Pegg and Dylan Moran are two of my favourite comedians so theres still a lot of appeal there for me.

I don't find Simon Pegg movies very funny without Edgar Wright involved.

You do have a point there. I do, or more I still find Simon Pegg himself funny but anything I've seen that isnt Spaced, Shaun of The Dead or Hot Fuzz just isnt even in the same league.

I think Hot Fuzz is one of the best movies of this decade by far.

Have you seen Spaced? Maybe not if you're in the States.

It's definitely available on DVD here. I've been meaning to rent it for a while.

I figured you could go and rent it or buy it provided you actually knew what it was. I imagine it was always fairly difficult to actually catch it on TV over there though, although it probably was broadcast somewhere.
