BTW the first time I ever heard of Death Wish was on the back of a Marvel collector's card for The Punisher where his favorite movie was listed as Death Wish 1-3 (after that they got goofy).

Yeah Scarlet Witch is hella underused in the movies but hopefully the Wandavision show will fix that.

Yeah, but I'm fairly sure Civil War came long before Incredibles in the comics.

They did kind of under use that plot though. I remember it being some huge moment that Marvel movies was working towards back in 2008 when they first announced a Spiderman reboot. The whole reason they rebooted it and made Amazing Spiderman was just for the MCU before MCU was even a thing. I'm certain the civil war was a much bigger event in the comics while the movie treated it like a little kerfuffle. I do remember the Iron Man vs Captain fight being really good and brutal though.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Uh yeah no. The reason Sony made Amazing Spider-Man was because part of the contract they have with Marvel is that if they don't make a Spider-Man movie every so many years the movie rights will revert back to Marvel. That's why Fox made that terrible Fantastic Four movie everybody hated. Just to keep the rights. That's why Marvel got the rights to make that Daredevil Netflix show. Cause Fox, who had the rights to make that Ben Affleck Daredevil movie everyone hated, didn't care enough to keep the rights by releasing a new Daredevil movie every so often so the rights reverted back to Marvel and they could produce a Daredevil show. That's probably why Disney bought Fox, cause Fox was never going to give up the film rights to X-Men so Disney just bought them (Disney can't buy Sony btw cause Sony is actually a bigger company than Disney).

Oh and I haven't read Civil War but it's a highly controversial series from what I hear mostly because Iron Man and Captain America are written highly out of character just to serve the concept. Like Captain America is supposed to be an ******* Libertarian or something, and having read The Ultimates that's written by the same writer, Mark Millar, I can believe it as Mark had Cap say things like

Mark Millar is a ****head who doesn't write superheroes to be liked. He writes them to be shallowly cool and edgy and if the MCU found it hard to adapt his story then I'm not surprised. The movie was cool though. Mostly because Chris Evans is an amazing Captain America.

Maybe and I think that I may have the time frame off but I remember learning about the remake on G4 back around 2008-2010 and them talking about how they were planning on working towards a civil war movie cause that's how I even learned that the civil war was a thing. It was definitely before the Marvel Ultimate Alliance game came out. I do remember them talking about how they wanted to reboot it to get a more true to the comics Spiderman for that civil war movie. I'm fairly sure it was on Attack of the Show, too.
