The speech sucked but the murder was pretty tight

It finally leaked a couple weeks ago. It's like Come and See, but more depraved. It differs from the book, combining parts and characters, and it's not as graphic thankfully as I was dreading seeing parts of the book put to film. I still wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to see certain types of violence. |

I think it's more of an unreliable narrator situation. |

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) So different from what I expected, I thought it was genuinely a great movie. I think I figured it was going to prove over-hyped like most cult classics are, but it was so clever and fun, and I've never experienced such visceral hatred for a disabled character before! 9/10 because no titties and no meat hook gore. |
I've only seen it once but I did think it was overhyped. Definitely should watch it again though since I never thought Halloween, Alien, or Night of the Living Dead were overhyped. Classic horror movies tend to age well with me so long as they're not 80s slasher schlock.

I'm looking forward to watching the second one, but tonight I'm following the theme of scary-remakes-I-watched-as-a-teen-and-now-I'm-getting-around-to-watching-the-originals and going with The Hills Have Eyes (1977)
With the company, of course, of Joe Bob Briggs. |
So you watched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake as a teen? I actually remember liking that. The guy from Full Metal Jacket was great at least but that's to be expected.
I actually intended to go rewatch TCM right now but it's not on my hard drive so I'm watching The Exorcist for the first time instead. |
