Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

I was undecided for years, but Mother! made me realize that I dislike Aronofsky more as a director than I like him. I'll look forward very little to his next movie, whatever that will be.

Come and See

Per Mondo's persistent recommendation. Come and See is a disorienting, brutal, and heartwrenching movie that stands alongside The Ascent as the best war film that I've ever seen. Incredibly well written and shot. 5/5

Inherent Vice

**** yes. ****in **** ya. This was just an incredible rollercoaster of humour, drama, mystery, surrealism, and action and I loved every minute of it. PTA's best behind There Will Be Blood and The Master. Waited way too long to watch this one. 4.5/5

I saw Inherent Vice early last year somewhere. Quite weird, very funny.

I know I already said it to you but Come and See is genuinely one of the scariest movies I've seen

Loved it to death!

I'm adding:

The Fountain was alright but didn't really sell me on the idea 100%

Noah was entertaining but I can't decide if it was more clever subversion or more just plain dumb.

Went to see that new movie with Kidman. "Destroyer". I think the impressions that stuck with me the most after it was over were:

1) "That's a very very portentous soundtrack indeed"

2) "lol silly looking makeup"

3) grrrrr very serious movie *frown* *scowl* *pout*

4) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Will probably win various oscars but not deserve it.
