I have seen it, but it's a long time ago. I thought it was interesting, but I don't think I appreciated it 100%. Can't remember it too well, but watching the main character go downhill has what carried the movie. Might be worth to watch it again. Something about a failed screenwriter. Some early scenes about a theater production are coming back to me just now, but it's all a bit of a haze.

I also watched Twixt a couple years ago. His post-big budget status is very evident in the special effects and such, but it was an enjoyable film with a fun little ghost story and some good characters. Cheesy for sure, but more my kind of thing than Tetro was.

Probably gonna rewatch Dagger of Kamui tonight

Wonderful beautiful crazy flick, I'm seriously surprised more people haven't made gifs out of the spastic visuals

A while ago I remember talking to Mondo about gore movies and he recced me Braindead and I was like, "This is a Power Rangers gore movie" as a dis, and he asked me what I was looking for and I was too lazy to respond. But now I'm saying that I want a gore movie that looks naturalistic and makes you uncomfortable to watch. A movie where if a parents' rights group said the director was acting out serial killer fantasies you'd be hard pressed to argue their point. I just want to see guts that feel like a real person's insides are being splattered and not in a fun way.

Check out the Japanese Guinea Pig film with the mermaid. Martyrs and Audition are probably up your alley too (though I think that Martyrs' gore is overhyped).

Ah, so the kind of movie I would find to be the worst thing ever?

I'm not watching that kind of trash and no one can make me.

Have seen Audition and I need my over-the-top gore more over-the-top. Good movie though.

I guess it's just the cold way it's presented that made it stand out to me.

Guinea Pig though, hit it.

Child's play.

If you really want to torture yourself, watch Chicago.

Virtually unwatchable. Classifiable as a torture device.
I'm pretty sure they broke some human rights conventions by making it.

You had me at Jackie Brown but lost me with the Chicago hate

I'm not saying it's the worst movie ever made, only that it very possibly might be.
