Everything's a comedy if you're drunk enough.

Like, I totally had a great time with it. I enjoyed it. It's just that I was apparently enjoying it in a different way than everyone else. And I'm fine with leaving it at that.

But I will say that I'm glad I didn't see it in theaters, 'cause I absolutely would not have been able to hold my **** together, and my constant laughing would have ruined everyone else's time.
Nah, I think it's a ****ed up sense of humor. I got both though. Cause it still had a very tense and unnerving atmosphere. But at the same time the mom came off as really goofy more than anything. Her flying though. I thought that was the funniest and most unexpected thing.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

It sucks if Hereditary's that tone deaf because A24 are a great studio and have made some great films.

No, it's a great film. I just think me and Ori have a weird sense of humor. Anytime somebody gets hit by a car it's funny to me, for what ever reason. Even when I got hit by a truck.

Now I'm really inspired to write a super bleak and hopeless absurdist comedy that freaks people out, while also making them laugh as hard as I did.

Like, I want to capture that feeling that I had so everyone can enjoy it. Because my experience with Hereditary was ****ing magical. I'm still giggling like a dork just thinking about it.

What do you guys think about a story where a guy sells his soul as a child for something stupid like a furbee, and then the demon comes to collect when he grows up into a college dork, and he's desperately trying to get laid before he dies, ignoring all of the hallucinations and covering up all of the weird murders happening on campus, and then he finally does get laid, only it turns out that his virginity was the one thing keeping him safe from the demon, and he loses his soul and eats ****?

A24 can have the film rights.

Sounds like the sort of movie I'd pay to avoid.

The other night, my mom, out of nowhere, accused my grandma of trying to abort her. It was f*cked up but also kind of funny LOL.

I bet you a million dollars that you would pay to see a movie with that exact description if it was a quirky Anime.
