I recently did a double-feature of speed and the edge. VHS 4 eva.
On Sunday I ate a bunch of edibles and went to a screening of Kubrick's 2001. Tonight i am finally watching that boots riley joint and then mandy (finally x2) |

What it needed was a much better script and a special effects team that doesn't think everything supernatural should of course always be bathed in super-saturated primary colored light.
In many ways, I didn't think it was any better or worse than your average super hero movie, really. It was more the specific ways in which it sucked more than other recent blockbusters. But it was also well made in some ways. I appreciated how it was light hearted all the way through. And it had plenty of men. |

Hereditary Been getting back into my film past since my girlfriend likes to chill and watch movies. It's been a while since I posted in here. Used to own this place... I'll be brief though. Gotta get to work. Hereditary was the most effective horror film I've seen in a decade. Script is tight as f*ck. No cheap jump scares. True horror in some scenes. PERFECT score by Colin Stetson. Toni Collette is a revelation. The kid who plays her son was also fantastic. Perfect air of dread throughout the entire film. I was floored. |
