"Sorry to bother you" . I actually did not like this film at all. Essentially about a black telephone salesman who fakes a white voice in order to get people to buy what he is selling. It got really good reviews but to me, it just seemed like the type of film you say is really good in order to agree with the underlying message but, in the end, don't really like it...but you shouldn't say that..so..it was good.

People should definitely separate the messages of a movie from the movie as a work of art/entertainment.

I do. And people give me death stares every time I say Schindler's List sucks. Just because I think Spielberg is an incredibly boring and banal film maker, it doesn't mean I'm a Nazi sympathizer, ok?

Just say that you don't like it because Schindler was such a womanizer and disgraced his wife completly. Then add a "metoo" after. Then people will aree with you because... Metoo!

Or you could start the debate with his wife's biography which she states that he kept the factory open only because he was afraid of being sent to the Russian front..

I like the way you're thinking.

Watched Red Sonja.

It's an 80's fantasy film, so it's got all the dumb looking costumes and bad acting you'll have learned to expect. It's got some annoying characters, a main villain with flimsy motivations and one particular side kick I'd like to throw into a bottom less well.

Despite all that, it was surprisingly likeable. It's just basically a fairly charming movie with good pacing and a very straight-to-the-point final confrontation and ending that feels very entertaining despite the parade of clichés. The sword fights between Red Sonja and the villain are fun and the villain dies in what could have been an iconic scene if the movie was overall less cheesy.

You gotta know what you're getting into with this movie, but it was fun for what is was.

If you like 80s action/cheesy films, you might like:

"Flesh and Blood" also known as "The Sword and the Rose". The trailer gives away none of the snappy dialogue

Not a bad film at all.

Rutger Hauer and Jennifer Jason Leigh later went on to be in "The Hitcher"...I guess you could watch them back to back which might make for a fun movie night although the second film still gives me nightmares.
