THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS
I wasn't too sure If I would like this or not. The jury was still out on Wes Anderson films. I liked BOTTLE ROCKET but I really wasn't too sure about THE LIFE AQUATIC, I think I need to give that one a second viewing. I really liked Tenenbaums though. My issue with Life Aquatic is that for the first 45 minutes I found myself unbelievably bored and wondering if anything I was watching was actually going to be at all relevant but by the end I was getting into it a bit. I thought the same about Tenenbaums for the first 15 minutes or so wondering if it was really necessary to go so deeply into the history of every character but it all worked out well I felt. Pretty funny too. Two of my films to watch next have actually been mentioned over the last few pages. SubUrbia and Grindhouse. |

[QUOTE=Molecules;586863]the Jolie factor in this film is negligible, she's wasting away.[QUOTE]
Nah, I wish she'd get her figure back, but I still think she's mad hot, sometimes popular opinion really does ring true. |

Luke Wilson was a big surprise in Tenenbaums for me. I thought he was excellent. |

"Dark Days"
Documentary about a faction of mole people living in an abandoned subway tunnel in New York City. Crazy. DJ Shadow scored it.

Me and my girlfriend love Steve Zissou and the Life Aquatic .. We like all the Wes Anderson films, but that one's our favourite. If only there was a store here that sold those blue shirts, red beanies and glocks, we would be all over that sh*t.
I'm not 100% sure what all the appeal is. Watching it makes me want to be a part of team Zissou. Maybe it's because we've been on marine biology cruises and can almost relate to it even though it's nothing like that. Dur .. Last movie I saw was Anger Management with Jack Nicholson and the sad Adam Sandler. Nothing else was on the telly last night.
