Seriously though. Zack Snyder's few DC movies tried pretty hard to have more gravitas than the Marvel movies do, and I think he succeeded. Even in Justice League, I cared far more about the outcome than when I'm watching your average Marvel flick. There are still a number of Marvel and DC movies I haven't seen. They're ****ting them out so fast I can't keep up at all.

The marvel movies mostly feel very similar to each other. Too similar. And I'm standing by that.

Marvel has X Men and Spiderman though.

I still think the very first X-Men movie is the best super hero movie overall, but I think the rest of them are very hit and miss. Never liked the Spiderman movies. Although I need to re-watch the one with Doctor Octopus.

Most recent movie I saw was Solo. Not a whole lot to say other than I did like it. No idea where I rank it for Star Wars as a whole, but I think the actor they got for Solo is perfect. Still not the beat Star Wars movie by any imagination but it's still worth seeing. Maybe wait for blu ray though.

I find it incredibly hard to care about a Han Solo origin movie when as an Expanded Universe nerd who read way too many terrible Star Wars books I already know his origin. Anything Disney comes up with to **** on my old school canon just feels like fake Star Wars.

I think you'd like it though. Theres much more focus on actual blaster fighting and far less on the jedi and sith. Plus I actually really love Woody Harrelson(spelling?) In his role.

I do somewhat agree with your take on Disney but I've actually quite liked what they've done for the most part. There are very few things they've done that i didnt like that it hardly effects my love for the movies. It's a weird position to be in as a Star Wars fan.

The Disaster Artist

Went in with pretty much no expectations and was really floored. The acting was incredible and I loved all of the homages to The Room throughout the film in the cinematography. They also nailed the remake element of it, they didn't have to show the side by side at the end for me to recognize that. It did have a cliched ass soundtrack that's going to make it sound dated (it already sounds dated to me), but I was really surprised and the ending even warmed my cold heart. 4.5/5

It's actually pretty overrated. Franco's impersonation wears thin very quickly, and that's probably more to do with Tommy Wiseau already being fucking annoying as it is, but it was hardly that funny. Much better comedies have been made with that little rat pack of a crew before.
