"Seriously. Last night, man, I was so drunk, I was calling Morocco, man. Calling, trying to get to the Hotel Hilton at Tangiers in Casablanca, man. That's, I mean, that's, that's pathetic, man! Is that what you wanna do with your life? Suck down peppermint schnapps and try to call Morocco at two in the morning? That's senseless!" |

I saw it a long time and thought it was great but i don't remember much from it apart from the tall guy on the left having an infectious optimistic attitude. And i think the guy on the right was like a lovable space cadet. It's kinda coming back to me a little.

"There's no excuses, Paul. No one has ever, ever paid admission to see an excuse. No one has ever faced a black screen that says: "Well, if we had these set of circumstances, we would've shot this scene... so please forgive us and use your imagination." I've been to the movies hundreds of times. That's never occurred."
He's great, and legitimately talented imo. COH-ven is dope. And yeah, that poor guy lol. Burnout city. |

and how my ass hurt after 3 hours on these uncomfortable, ****ing pretentious "old school cinema chairs" that were supposed to be a highlight of this small, independent movie theater They weren't. I saw the other 2 on tv, several times in fact.. Overall I wouldn't say it's ass, but it's nowhere near a cult classic. The thing that makes me hate them though is not the quality, but the nerve to call it "Hobbit", claim it's based on the book, and then adding a ton of things that weren't there. I mean, it's almost like I don't know, a movie called "The Diary of a Young Girl" where in the end Anne Frank gets her sight back from god, only to mow down nazis with a machine gun. I wouldn't mind watching that, but calling it after the book it only used as an inspiration ? Misleading. |

There's enough content there to justify 2 films or a very long one. The trilogy was too much though.

The current trilogy is around 8 hours, which is just excessive. Big epic trilogies sell tickets, I guess. |

I thought you'd never read Tolkien? How would you know how many movies you'd need?
