Hard Candy was... I don't know what it is about her, but I find Ellen Page almost impossible to empathize with in any film I've ever seen her in. I don't think you were supposed to feel more for the pedo than the would-be victim, but honestly, there were scenes where I just wanted to shake her and tell her to shut the **** up.

I can't remember. Lately I've been watching a lot of old early 90s VHS tapes--short films-- featuring puppets teaching children about Christianity (because my best friend collects such things and so we watch them every weekend) and they all kind of blur together after a certain point, especially if you're alternating them with episodes of Pee-wee's Playhouse and can no longer sense the passage of time or remember who you are as a result. Aside from that, though, I rewatched Videodrome fairly recently.

Videodrome is a really weird movie. I like it, although I think Naked Lunch and Existenz are far better Cronenberg movies with a somewhat similar style.
