I agree. I loved that movie. I like A Scanner Darkly a little better but Waking Life is still great.

I love rotoscoping, it's been used often by other filmmakers like Ralph Bakshi and it adds that right balance between realism and surrealism.

On a similar topic. I'm growing more and more tired of CGI in films. To me traditional animation is more visually pleasing, and to me special effects through animatronics, make up, puppets, stunts and stop motion animation feel much more real than CGI, because it's something organic and man made.

But Bleach is only unoriginal in it's formula, it's still a show I really love and enjoy and I really don't care how many times it's been done before, I don't think it's ever been done as well.

Taken looks like the same sh*tty thriller I've already seen 30 times under various titles, the whole "Trying to protect my family" genre that Harrison Ford has made a living off of for the past 20 years. It dosen't help that it stars Liam Neeson, who mysterously forgot how to act after Schindler's List, and that whiney bitch from Lost who should have been killed off in the first episode. That trailer is one of the most laughable things I've seen in some time.

Anyway, nice attempt at trolling there, but you fail.

Great arguement, yes Bleach has similiarities to also YuYu Hakusho, Hunter X Hunter and Inyuyasha which are all also worthless crap.

And unlike most thrillers that come out today, Taken actually compels me to go to the theatre and from some of the reviews I've read, and the friends who've seen it have told me . . . It's an entertaining film, It doesn't try to be original because it's able to stand by itself. I guess you would be satisfied if Liam made a ridiculously sword appear out of thin air and had ridiculous fights with masked miyazaki knock-offs and other recycled villains from a typical shonen.

:finger: **** off asswipe, you're a prime example why anime fans are stereotyped.

Why are you such a meanie?

And since when does Shonen rip off Miyazaki? Miyazaki has no influence on that genre at all, really.

Silence of the Lambs 8.5/10
Everyone told me that it was ultra scary, but I didn't find it that scary it all, it was more exilerating than anything else.

Hannibal 9.4/10
I liked learning more about hannibal, and I was a little weirded out about how much I wanted hannibal to not die, and how much I sympathized with him. Lost points for taking out Jodie Foster.

Red Dragon 7.5/10

Worst of the series in my opinion

Hannibal Rising 9.3/10

Really creepy at times, especially when he drowns the guy in the water full of cadavers (literally my worst fear). But this movie explains Hannibal Lector a lot more. I enjoyed it a lot though. Does anybody know if they are going to continue the series?

Just finished watching From Dusk 'til Dawn again. Such a great movie - I just love how the plot gets completely turned on its head about half-way through.

Great stuff. I thought it was well written, well shot, well acted. Theres a lot of documentaries out there now about wrestling as an industry but I thought that not only was this a great film but it achieved what a lot of the documentaries have too. Must have been very well researched.

Amidst a Sergio Leone marathon:

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
A Fistful Of Dollars
For A Few Dollars More
Once Upon A Time In America

Loveeee Spaghetti Westerns.

Tonight I'm also going to see Notorious and Gran Torino. Two-for-one, so I don't have to hold as high of expectations...

Nice. Silence of the Lambs is my fav movie ever and I've seen all the films and read the Red Dragon and SOTL books. I'd say you perhaps don't find it that scary because it's intended as more of a thriller than a horror, though there are some chilling parts.

I don't think they can milk anything more out of the series after Hannibal Rising - I do actually like that movie but I know a lot of people consider it a disparate piece of the puzzle (or cash cow).
