Place your bets on how long it'll take Batlord to develop a dorky Western obsession.

Kinda don't care. American history in general is pretty boring to me.

I would ask why there's any black people on Arthur's round table.

Mother! (2017) Just go see this knowing as little as possible about it and let the movie wash over you. It's weird, but it's a Darren Aronofski movie so you know that going in. All the performances are wonderful, with the exception of Jennifer Lawrence who really doesn't do anything you haven't already seen in any of her other movies, and I think her presence is a part of why this movie is getting panned by audience reviews. Jennifer Lawrence has extreme mainstream appeal, to the point where dumb dumbs will go see a movie because it has her in it, and this is very much NOT a movie made with the intention of mainstream appeal. |

There was a 310 to Yuma remake that came out a few years back that I loved but other than that. When it comes to westerns, I prefer the comedy types, Blazing Saddles, A Million Ways to Die in the West, Three Amigos, Wild Wild West, The Frisco Kid.
Speaking of westerns, Hell or High Water I finally got around to watching this movie. It definitely gives off the feel of a modern day western with some suspense. Brilliant performances by Jeff Bridges, Ben Foster and Chris Pine. I was hoping for a slightly different ending but it makes sense the way that it ended.

Buster's Mal Heart Pretty entertaining watch overall. It might be just because it had Rami Malek in it, but it had a very similar vibe to Mr. Robot. Paranoid, non-linear, introspective, tense, etc etc. There was a lot of dark and quirky humour akin to Bernie, which was a plus. Doesn't reinvent the wheel but it's not a waste of time. 4/5 Spoiler for spoiler:

I'm pretty sure it was the original 3:10 I watched but I can't swear to it. Might not have been. Thought it was great though and had a sort of unexpected ending.
Hell, I just love westerns because there's kind of no rules. They're the bad boys of the West, they do what they like and if you don't like it, draw faster or get a posse out after them! Clint is the king of such movies. I love High Plains Drifter, Hang 'em High, Pale Rider, the "spaghetti" ones, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly and of course Unforgiven. Dances With Wolves is immense too. Oh and DJ, if you like comedy westerns, check out Evil Roy!

I definitely agree that this will likely be a polarizing film for people who are already into Darren Aronofsky, but I'm just thinking of all the normies that are going to go and see this just because J Law stars in it. I don't think they're ready for what kind of film they will get.

Speaking of westerns, I want Trollheart to watch Duck, You Sucker so he can whine about the Irish main character being played by an American.
