Great movie! I haven't seen it in many years so maybe it's about time I dive back in. I remember it as being quite an experience.

Well, that's not the "Happy Ending" version for sure. How long was the version you saw? Gillian's original is 142 minutes. The studio cut 10 minutes out for the theatrical release. The happy ending version is less than 100 minutes and ends with the scene out in the country where Jill and Sam make love - right before they are captured.

Labotomy's get a bad rap. You know the scene where Sam is in the doctors office (the same doctor who gives him the labotomy) and at one point the doctor leaves Sam alone with his daughter. She says something but her accent is so thick she's hard to understand.

"Put it on big boy. I won't look at your willy."

Death of a Salesman. Very theatrical and sometimes a bit too frantically scripted. Surprisingly, the worst actor in the movie was Dustin Hoffman. He overacted like crazy. Otherwise it was allright and somewhat interesting. I didn't mind the intentionally fake looking painted skies, even if it looked really cheap.

I've got that one as well and it's been even more years. I don't remember anything about it, strangely.
