Gran Turino-
Clint Eastwood is great, but some of the script is really awkward and out of place. The ending was underwhelming, considering how much build up throughout the film leading up to it. Notorious- seemed like a straight to BET film that somehow got a large budget and was sent to theartres. And even though its nothing against the actors, its weird to see actors the roles of people who are still alive and popular.. It was aight, the kid who plays 50 cent as a child is wonderful. Appaloosa- I enjoyed it a lot. |

yes, that's in it's own league of depressing. I felt so sorry for her when she kept working in the factory even though she was going blind. Lovely Bjork =(
It's one of those films where things go from bad to worse and you watch out of morbid fascination. Lars Von Trier and Mike Leigh (with the exception of his latest) films are always sure bets for a downer. edit: i should add their films are more often than not depressingly profound rather than just an exercise in misery... did Bjork have a hand in the glitchy minimal music for that movie? |

The last movie I saw was Choke.
It's based on Chuck Palahniuk's book with the same title. It's about a guy named Victor, who's a sex addict. Perfect movie for people with dark humor
