That one is on my watch list. I've been putting it off for a while since I don't really like horror movies all that much, but I am going to see it eventually.

Trust me, it's incredibly far removed from your idea of a horror film. I have a hard time calling it one tbh.

The less like a typical horror film, the better. I like the premise and I like Scarlett, so that's why I'm still interested.

I've only watched a bit of it, but it's definitely not a horror genre movie unless it takes a backasswards turn for no apparent reason. I seem to remember the only reason I stopped watching was because it was a stream with terrible quality. Really want to go torrent it or something.

I'm convinced.

The Founder

Fascinating film about how Ray Kroc first met the McDonald brothers and then took their revolutionary fast food restaurant innovations and turned them into a global empire - much to the dismay of the brothers.

Spoiler for Big Mac:
Ray Kroc? Brilliant businessman with a vision, and who didn't let morals stand in his way. The brothers? Completely invented the concept of fast food but were way too naive about business.

The long exposition at a restaurant early in the film where the brothers explain to Kroc how they came up with the idea of fast food, and then fully fleshed it out is pretty cool.

I definitely want to watch that one. I like Michael Keaton and it sounds like it could be a fun ride. As I understand it, he comes across as a real ***hole.

First off he was great in it as was all of the other leads. Nick Offerman plays one of the brothers (in a very uncharacteristic role). Funny, no matter how hard he tries, Ron Swanson always creeps through now and then.

In the end I'm not sure how much of it was Ray being an A-hole and how much of it was the brothers being too thick headed and set in their ways to grow the business. Kroc keeps coming up with great business ideas and the brothers just kept saying NO.

So ready to see Detroit tonight. It looks incredible. Even though Kathryn Bigelow I think is sorely overrated, I can't help but think this film is gonna kick my ass.

Yeah but to reneg on the royalties agreement so they only got a million each and then build a McDonalds across the street to run them out of business was cold.
