I saw Guardians of the Galaxy over the past weekend. The opening scene was funny as hell but I wasn't in the mood to have feels popping up through out the movie. It was still good but meh I didn't care for the family drama. There was even a line said that made me feel like I was watching a Fast and the Furious movie haha.

This is a movie where the enjoyment of it comes from knowing as little as possible. So stop reading what people are saying and just go watch the movie and find out for yourself.

This really applies to every film in my opinion.

I'm hitting up some Lost Highway this second

I went into Get Out with the bias of expecting it to be a ham-fisted SJW horror-comedy, so I was looking for it the entire way through, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that my assumptions were wrong. It's just a straight up good movie with a satisfying amount of curve-balls.

Also, not sure who recommended After Hours (Scorsese) to me a week or two ago, Exo probably, but I got around to it and really enjoyed it, thanks.

Re-watching The Paper Chase (1973) for the first time in decades. No guns, no car chases, no explosions, no aliens, no villains, no mystery, just human interaction based on a intriguing premise.

Timothy Bottoms (Johnny Got His Gun, Last Picture Show), an absolutely beautiful Lindsay Wagner, and the Academy Award winning John Houseman.

Such a touching story. Wish more movies like this were made these days. If you didn't like Manchester by the Sea you'll hate this movie.

Ebert gave it 4 stars and it has an 85% approval rating on RT. Not that counts on MB.
