Eyes of My Mother Let me start this off by saying what the **** man. That **** was weird. This movie deserves a mention in the DSM because if it ever happened in real life, I would just point at this movie and say that Nicolas Pisce told you so. Eyes of My Mother draws you in with some gorgeous black and white scene setting before bashing your head in with some disturbing and bizarre twists and turns. The movie focuses on a descent into madness. If I were you, I would go into it blind plotwise because the way the film transpired was totally conflicting with what I was expecting to happen (for better or worse, mostly the former). The stark imagery really makes the more visceral parts more effective, which makes this movie really hard to watch. A lot of it made me feel disturbed and gross. It really is a fascinating character study that could have been fleshed out a little better, but was still excellent on its own. This was such a great horror film that I'm not sure if I ever want to watch it again. 5/5.

Opening night motherfuckers. Insanely solid shoot em' up. Any fan of John Woo or John Wick should appreciate this flick. Not to mention the director having directed incredibly great films in the past. 8/10. Support this film please.

I wish Beyond the Black Rainbow was longer even at almost 2 hours, or that more stuff happened. But not in a "nothing happened" kinda way, there was some cool stuff that I definitely wanted to continue. I almost feel like the pacing works against it. Like, it really sucks you in that you're bummed out when it's done. I was at least. Very enjoyable.

oculus was ok but if ya liked it you must check out flanagan's best flick Ouija: The Origins of Evil. it's one of very few modern mainstream horrors that will totally rock your socks off.
