I went and saw Valkyrie and it was enjoyable enough...I did more research on the actual 20 July plot and found it very interesting...I never learned of it at University...
note to Jackhammer...I saaw the State of Play trailer for the US version which is in DC of course and has Affleck as Stephen Collins...Russell Crowe as the journalist...and Rachel McAdams as his assistant...it looks pretty good although I know they had to cut a ton of stuff.

great film, and true very touching....but what's with this poster? or I don't know, is it the dvd cover? it makes the film look like a rom-com...and that's not how the stars look in this movie...it's a pity, it doesn't give the film justice |

The ascent - Larisa Shepitko (1976) One of the most powerful films I've ever seen. Pure masterpiece. - 10/10 Stalker - Andrei Tarkovsky (1979) I've seen all but one of his films and with the exception of Ivan's childhood I can't say a single one has made a particular impact on me. This was no different. I can't rate it, it's just not my type of film...>.>

THE WRESTLER
very good film, maybe the best drama I've seen this year. it's one of those years which was capitalized by action-packed films, and in this case it wasn't that bad cause "The Dark Knight" and "Iron Man" were pretty good films. but this is a more down-to-earth film, a sad story but inspired by the life of every has-been out there. as for the star...don't even look for the other nominees, just give him his awards cause it you can't get any better than this. I don't wonna give anything up, cause I think most of you haven't seen it yet. I'd give it a 8/10, mostly because of the performance by it's star, but that doesn't mean it's not a good film as well.
